Empties is a tag which encourages you to share your thoughts about (usually) cosmetic products that you ran out of. I thought I’d use it to share my thoughts about some of the products I already wrote about on this blog in my first impressions during unboxings, instead of doing full review on each of the products, unless they are special on its own.

Please remember that those are my options based on my own experience, so if some of the products worked for me, doesn’t mean it will definitely work for you. And vice versa.

1. Rituals Miracle 3-in-1 Mascara

Source: Rituals

This mascara appeared in my first Goodiebox Unboxing. At first I was not impressed with it. Don’t get me wrong, it was a good mascara but it was thin consistency and didn’t have the same effect as I was used to. It was rather on natural look side. Luckily for me, after couple uses (contact with air thickened it) it improved and I was able to get the results I wanted in only one coat.

Would I buy it again? Yes!

Nivea Purifying Micellar Shampoo

I tried both of Nivea Purifying Micellar Shampoos in the past. The one on the photo is for ‘normal to oily hair’. Definitely not my type, as I have dry hair that stimulates my scalp to produce oil because of its dryness. The citrus smell is kind of artificial. Other than that, it didn’t do any damage to my hair but I wasn’t impressed with any of those shampoos (as I said, I tried the one for dry hair as well).

Love Beauty And Planet Shampoos

With those shampoos I have love and hate relationship. “Happy and hydrated sulfate-free shampoo” was a big flop for me. It irritated my scalp to the point I couldn’t touch it. I described my experience as hair being “almost fried” in my I Stopped Dying My Hair post. It was an exaggeration but also a pretty good description of how my scalp felt at that time.

I took a break from Love Beauty And Planet shampoos for a month and then decided to try out Delightful Detox shampoo. I was scared at first if the results would be the same but I use it till this day and I really like it! Maybe sulfate-free shampoos are not for me, or I am allergic to one of the ingredients from “Happy and hydrated”? Could be.

It was a good lesson for me. Not everything that is almost 100% natural is good for me personally. I also hesitate to try other versions of Love Beauty And Planet shampoos due to this experience.

So I won’t rate “Happy and hydrated” and I won’t buy it again. But “Delightful Detox” is 7/10 and I may buy it in the future.

Miqura Butt Mask

I got this mask in Goodiebox. I was surprised it even existed, but to be honest, should I be? It was an interesting experience to try out those patches. They left my skin feeling smooth. They are convenient to use, as outside of Miqura butt mask is dry, so you don’t have to worry about cleaning everything you touch afterwards. Do I find this product necessary? Well, not for me, even though it was fun.

Starskin Nourishing & Brightening 2 step oil sheet mask

I’m not a fan of sheet masks in general. I find them messy and not comfortable but somehow this Starskin mask was a really pleasant experience. It left my skin feeling really good and hydrated. Wasn’t as messy as I expected it to be because of oil application in the first step. Nice surprise!

Would I buy it again? Probably yes.

Herbal Essences Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo and Conditioner

After my mishap with previous shampoo, I went to the drugstore to get something else. After first use of Herbal Essences Argan Oil of Morocco I felt real relief on my scalp. It’s definitely a right shampoo and conditioner for me.

I love the smell of it as well. I already bought another bottle after I ran out of it.

de_CURE N⁰ Day Cream and de_CURE N⁰ Lift Serum

Last but not least, Goodiebox stars. Both of these de_CURE product samples were included in my Goodiebox subscription boxes. I really enjoyed using de_CURE N⁰ Day1 Day Cream – it moisturizes well and feels light on the skin.

I’m not a big fan of serums, as I found out while trying de_CURE N⁰ Lift Instant Correcting Serum. It made my skin glow as if I was sweating and I couldn’t get rid of this effect. So serum is a pass for me but I definitely liked day cream from de_CURE.

So those were my empties for May 2020. It was a first post of this series. As you can see, I had products that I really loved and other ones that I wish I wouldn’t have tried. Have you tried any of these? Let me know how you liked them!
